Welcome to netjunki.org

I originally setup this site over a decade ago as a place to host some of my projects and articles that I had written. I had intended to keep it up to date... but that just never really happened since in reality I was not a huge fan of writing all those years ago. But a lot has changed in a decade. Welcome to the new and improved netjunki.org.

In the intervening years I've come to rely much more on writing as a way of testing ideas and keeping a log of my work. In the past I'd kept most of this material in the blog of whichever company I happened to be working for, but I've realized that this is no longer practical considering how many different project I'm working on that aren't work related. Another problem has been that when I left my employer... I kind of lost access to all of my writing. So going forward I'm going to try and keep all of my work related writing at work... and all of my personal ramblings on a blog hosted here (see the blog link above).

I've also become a huge fan of Trac since I started this site... and I've decided to use it to manage this site going forward. No complaining! This is my website and I can host it using whatever technology I choose. ;-) And this is a hell of a lot better than my old site which was cobbled together from a bunch of custom php and hand written HTML. With Trac managing all of the infrastructure I might be more inclined to keep this site up to date.

About Me

I'm now an older software engineer than when I originally created this site. I've drifted into a build and configuration management specialization over the years but still consider myself a generalist. I've been working professionally as a software engineer for about 15 years. A bunch of years for USC (at both ISI and ICT). A long stint as a founding employee of Alelo Inc.. I currently work for a company called Gogii.
